Hi guys, I upgraded to 4.2.1 but lost my GPS in the process as i updated to the iPad baseband. I dont know a whole lot about this subject and wa wondering what my options are now because I'm really struggling without internet.

    Thanks in advance,
    Rory

You're all over the place here.

GPS has nothing to do with internet. Unless you used some form of cracked installer, how did you install the iPad baseband on an iPhone 3G?

Can you not just use iTunes to download the iPhone baseband and install a fresh 4.2.1 on the 3G?

    I followed this: http://www.iclarified.com/entry/index.php?enid=12949

So my 3G should still be working?

According to that page, the jailbreak may disable GPS, but they're working on fixing it.

There's no reason why your 3G or web access should be disrupted. Are you getting any data connection? If not, then you may have Mobile Data switched off; Settings > General > Network
