So I have really really dry hair and it's driving me mad! I've cut down a lot on using the hairdryer and straightener rarely use either during the week. Have been doing this for months now and haven't seen any improvement! So does any one have any recommendations for a really good shampoo or conditioner for dry hair?
    Many thanks :)

Would you try moroccan oil? It's a treatment, expensive but it's brilliant and lasts for ages, They also make an intensehydrating mask which i've never tried but sounds brill http://www.lookfantastic.com/hair/moroccanoil/moroccanoil-intense-hydrating-mask.html

Apart from that I would always recommend redken products, they are brilliant :)

Both really good suggestions, there is one from redken I can't remember the name but it's in a gold package? It's fantastic, also Redken do Anti-Snap leave in treatment, amazing!

One more that I really like is Aveda Damage Control range - Shampoo, conditioner and treatment. They are a bit expensive : ranging from 22 for the shampoo to 31 for the treatment. I have blonde dry hair and I find it really good.

    Hi there,

I have used most Redken leave in conditioners and found them very good indeed.

Although the best I have used is kerastase http://www.besthairbrands.com/products/details/222.html

I used this when my hair was bleached and it really made a a difference.

I find that Bedhead is amazing. They sell it in most salons but you can get it in Tkmaxx at half the price for a bigger bottle (go up early in the morning, midweek as there's usually a rush for them)

Olive oil. Plain old olive oil you can buy from the supermarket for a few Euro. Pour some into a cup, put the cup into a bowl of boiled water for a few minutes and leave it to warm then massage it into your hair and leave it for a half hour. Wrap your hair in a towel if you like. Wash it out and your hair will be silky soft. Its the same thing as Vo5 Hot Oil without all the perfume and readily available!

Agree with the other posters on the Redken - the gold bottle is "All Soft", specifically for dry /brittle hair, I'm using it myself at the moment. Really makes hair soft, but doesn't weight it down.

I use Osmo Essence, I got a tub years ago and I very rarely use it but I find it brill! :) I am growing out blonde highlights at the moment and when I use this in it my hair is always lovely soft and shiney....and it smells of coconuts! :D:D

Hi, I have used both the Redken anti snap and the gold however I find Kerastase conditioner to be better than both. Leave in the hair for 5-10 mins and it will work wonders.

Try almond oil - as good as olive oil but slightly more fragrant! I buy mine in an Asian supermarket, only €4 for half a litre. Also great for your skin!

Another good thing to use is a leave-in conditioner. I had really dry straw-like hair and used redken's all soft to get it where it needed to be, now I use toni and guy's rapid response leave in conditioner to maintain it. Smells nice and is always on special offer at Boots!

My hair dried out from highlights so my mum suggested I use coconut oil, few euro in the health shop for a bottle.
Put the bottle in a pan of boiling water to turn it to liquid. Put this in dry hair & wash out after, takes a few washes, my hair is like silk after it even with highlights!
I find it better than any salon treatment I have tried!

Actually they are most likely what's called Grey Market products. They're the legitimate product but have been diverted from their original intended market.
