Jose ryder cup selection process

Jose has chosen the following for ryder cup selection

2 wild card picks
top 5 in european points list and then top 5 in world points list which have not already qualified via the european points list.

To me this makes it more easier for the non european based players and takes away from the european tour.

I don't agree with it as the european tour should be trying to encourage the ex pats to play on their tour and not the pga.

what do people think?

Wise choice going back to 2 picks. and yes you could say european tour regulars should have priority... but then his pick of the top five in worlds points would field a stronger team imo.

This would have been the team for 2010 using this system, so prob the exact same with Harrington and Donald getting the captains picks

WHIP IT!

Personally I'm in favour of the Captain having more picks as opposed to less. It gives him leeway to pick guys who are in current form and who they feel will also be good 'locker-room' guys. Also, it makes it more exciting for us!
