Can you get the RTE player on campus wired & wireless? Tried messing around with the proxy settings - no result. Does anyone know how?

I never managed it, though please bear in mind it's a couple of years since I was there, I didn't try very hard and I have very limited ability when it comes to anything technological.:o

If I remember correctly, you have to go into Internet Explorer and change the proxy settings there under 'Internet Options'. I think when I was trying to get it to work I was just setting the proxy under Firefox, but that didn't set it up properly for real player or whatever RTÉ use.

I should probably have mentioned that I'm using a mac...

RTE player works for most on PCs. Not a hope on Mac/Linux.

A former TCD academic on how to get around the firewall for a different program but it may be of some use.
