Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

re-routing shower wiring..any issues on distance?

    Hi Folks,

Planning on knocking a partition wall, unfortunately it conceals the wiring running from fuse panel to electric shower pull cord switch.
Re-routing this would mean instead of maybe 3 metres of cable, would result in about 8 metres.

Anyone know if there's regulations restricting lenght, or any operational issues.

(Obviously using same gauge cabling, or heavier if required)

    Cheers

You need to work out the whole run length if you add the extra distance and then get your sizing, and also see what size is currently feeding the shower.

If memory serves me correct it's 10mm cabling, total lenght, board to double pole switch, and then to shower would work out at 9.5 metres.
( think the shower is 8kw).

10MM cable is fine for that run of cable...(sparks by trade)..
