TBH Bus Eireann are such a headache with their slow, noisy buses stopping every 5 minutes I think Ill stick to Citylink and wi-fi to pass the time.

Students must hold a valid ISIC (International Student Identity Card) In order to avail of discounted student fares.

Anyone know if they're strict about this? Don't have one of these, and it's hardly worth getting a tenner off if you need to buy an ISIC card.

    Cheers

    *Edit: nvm,
Bus Éireann accepts the following Student IDs:

    1. International Student Identity Card
    2. Translink Student Identity Card
    3. City/National Student Travelcard issued by Bus Átha Cliath or Iarnród Éireann.
    4. Student ID Cards issued by a recognised third-level college in the Republic of Ireland- Full List of Recognised Colleges

I always get asked for my student ID.

I'm only speaking for the Galway - Limerick route and the Limerick - Waterford.

Last time I was asked was about a year and a half ago

It says one use only. However there is nothing stopping you registering a second account.

Only noticed that there is a 10% back loyalty scheme as well:
The Bus Éireann frequent travel points scheme is our customer rewards programme that enables you to avail of free travel by collecting points for each journey you make on our services - so the more you travel, the more you save!
As an introductory offer, Bus Éireann frequent travel point scheme members earn 1 point for each €1 they spend when purchasing tickets on-line at buseireann.ie. Each point is worth 10 cent to spend towards the full cost of a journey.

Was everyone elses code VAL1? Ive tried entering it and clicking look up code but it wont work, it doesn't give me a discount. Did it work for you all?

Try val1 in lower-case. Its very annoying. Or else you're looking for travel outside of February.

Its when nothing appears to have happened. I think its val1 or VAL-1, just look at the box underneath and it'll be ok. Nothing jumps out though.
