My keys to a 01 ford mondeo were very worn and it was taking a while to get it to turn in the ignition so i got 2 new keys cut from my local ford garage and when i put my key in it worked perfect but i cant get it out.

I tried with a little bit of force but it would not budge,
It turns fine but i cant get it out at all at all.

Is there any way to get it out without bringing it back to the garage?

Spray a tiny bit of wd40 in there. Then wiggle it a bit.

Turn the steerin wheel left and right as your trying to take out the key and it should release the key.

Turn the steering wheel with it left to right while trying to wiggle the key. New keys can get a bit rough till they were down a bit.

Be subtle with it, imagine you're trying to pick a lock. Remember you have in, out, up, down, towards, away, work through all the different possibilities, try to visualise the key in the lock. Be patient.

I managed to get it out with some Wd40,
    Thanks
Will it damage the ignition if i keep wiggling it out every day?

Ultimately, yes. Does the second key stick? I'd bring the first one back to the garage.

When he gave me the keys he said the keys were a little tight in the ignition.
There's not much he can do besides replace the ignition is there?

He charged you for keys that work. On a more practical note, you could give them a light sandpapering.

    Dont replace the ignition barrel.

These always get stuck in the ignition if we dont rub them down enough when we cut them.

Get a small file, feel the edges of the cuts and lightly file the sharp edges off--you`ll be sorted then.

But the bloke that cut them should have done that for you.
