Kenya, off the top of my head, should get a good deal on a flight from the UAE

Suggest you take the Eithad / Emirates route map out first and have a look then start planning

I used to live in AbuDhabi 30 years ago. A nice road trip is via Al Ain to fujairah, on to Khor Fakhan, into the mountains of Oman. We used to hire a dhow. Mind you in my day, the Fujairah hilton was a tin shed.....Oman is fascinating

Sri Lanka. Some nice beaches and culture if you travel into the island. Direct flights from Abu Dhabi and Dubai.

With a week, you can do a a lot in Sri Lanka,
Day 1 Arrive Columbo, travel to Kandy with a stop in Pinnawalla Elephant Orphanage on route.
Day 2 Take in sights of Kandy.
Day 3 travel from Kandy to Nuwara Eliya by train.
Day 4 Nuwara Eliya to Ella.
    Day 5 Ella - Unawatuna.
Day 6 Check out Unawatuna and Galle and get back to the airport for flight. This is a fab 7 day tour and with a drver which is inexpensive for the week you can see the best of Sri Lanka. PM me for details of how to do it if you are interested.
