heh ive just got sorted for my health insurance but a little to late as my bloody wisdom tooth has started to flair up again.

the dentist said last time if it does that it will have to come out and me being me will want it done in hospital, knocked out cold. any idea how much it will cost anyone since my health insurance won't kick in for about 6 months???

also do ye know if they can clean my teeth while i'm under as it would really really be a great help??

You can get them done under sedation for about 800 euro ( 4 wisdom teeth, fewer would be less) GA would be a lot more...thousands as hospital fees are much much more. PM me for a recommendation.

I have to get all 4 wisdom teeth out. I'll be having it done in hospital and I've been told that it will be more than €2000 for everything. :(

I have to get mine out too? Was going to go to The Dublin Dental School/Hospital. I have no insurance, does it really cost that much?

You really dont need a full GA for wisdom teeth. Let me repeat that, nobody has to have a full GA for wisdom teeth. You will feel sick after and have a sore throat, and GA has a risk some people dont want to take. Having them done under IV sedation + local anaesthetic if perfect even for the nervious patient and is a lot cheaper (less than 1k by some surgeons).

VHI pays for having them under sedation also BTW.
