Would be really great if there was somewhere?. I'd really like to go but as someone hoping to pursue gender reassignment the straight local verson might not be a place I'm likely to meet someone.

It can make for a great night.

It could be fairly easy to set one up yourself or with a group of mates. Depending on where you are, there's probably pubs or restaurants nearby that would let you rent out an area (perhaps work out a deal regarding fees since you'd ultimately be bringing in business), then it's just a matter of scheduling, organizing, advertising and interest.

Advertising is easy as pie with the internet (advertise on sites like meetup.com, ask boards if you can post a notice here, post event notices on social websites, etc) or printing off ads and can be done at low to no cost at all, especially if you charge a small cover fee to deal with overheads. Could even make your own website (or I could :p) to make it a repeated event.

Scheduling and organizing just take a bit of time, pick a date far enough into the future to allow for ads to circulate well and to ensure a reservation in a decent place, and the rest should more or less fall into place.

I think you'd be surprised at a) how much interest it would garner (since there's effectively no competition) and b) how easy it actually would be to organize.

Doubt it would work with lesbians. The scene is so small, we've probably all dated each other already;)

    :pac:
