Mondeo Temperature Display

    Hi, just wondering can anyone help with this.

    Since starting my car monday morning, (04 tdci) the temperature display starts out at about -14 degrees celcius and goes down to -40 gradually. The car itself doesnt seem to be driving any differently. What could possibly be the cause of this??
