Loud bang when steering

Can anyone help me out. My van makes a loud bang whenever I am making a slow full turn, like when parking or reversing. I recently had to change a track rod end, so im sure its not the rod ends. I think the problem must be in the steering rack or the steering pump, or could it just be the steering wheel connection rod hitting something?

Really?! The boot condition is fine, and there's no other noise apart form turning.

It can happen without the boot been cut but its rare. Get a mechanic to comfirm it.

    Common enough problem.

Jack the van up and look up at the shock. They normally break near the top. You should see the spring end in a sharp point instead of a flat end
