I don't think this is a side effect of the Morning after pill. Unfortunately the MAP is not 100% effective, particularly if a longer time has elapsed between "the incident" and taking the pill (i.e. the closer you get to 72 hours afterwards the less effective it is).

While false negatives are common on pregnancy tests, false positives usually aren't.

I would suggest you take another test, then think about seeing your doc. However, as you have not yet missed your period, a docs test may not have the same result as they are not as sensitive as the home pregnancy tests. When I was one week after missing my period the docs test did not show up a positive.

I know what it's like to get a positive pg test when you don't want one, try to stay calm and whatever happens you'll be able to deal with it.

Thanks Lashing Lady, Im nearly 40, already with 3 kids and just cant believe this.I did have a miscarraige about 18 months ago, at the time I was sad, but relieved.
I have no idea how Im going to tell my husband. He will go mad, I dont think we would split up but its not going to be good.Maybe I should have posted this on the personal site.I was honestly hoping that it was a side feect, that the MAP gives false positives.I did two tests, both had very faint pink lines, very faint, but there.I know only time will tell.I cant thank you enough for listening, thanks xx"hug"

Crisis pregnancies don't just happen to teenage girls. :)

    Best of luck.
