Not sure about barbers, but have you tried connaught hairdressing college on forster st? My daughter and her friends go there and they're good. Its cheap and they do student discount. ph: 091563932

Kozzy's student rate is €10. I used to go there as there was one near my old house. There's a fella on Abbeygate street (across from Subway's/Buon Appettito) who does a good job but can be hard to get as he kees unusual hours. Not sure if he does a student rate (I'd be surprised if he doesn't), but it used to be about €13. Otherwise, there's a place at the end of Bridge Street (across from the Galway Arms) that can be okay.

There's a thread in the galway forum about this and the opinion was that the cheapest place was the barber beside terryland fruit and veg (I think 7.50/8 was price mentioned and also apparently not very good).
As I said on other thread its really surprising that there's no where in Galway doing them cheaper at least within specific times anyway.
Presume all the prices above are for a dry cut?

That was fat tonys and I think it was 15e for a cut, not sure if they are still running that. I was having a haircut there and the foreign girl asked if I wanted tea of coffee and I said no thanks, then she jokingly said did I want a pint, I didn't really know what she said with the accent and all so I just said no thanks, when I got outside I saw the sign, would have gotten a pint for the lol if I had realised what she was offering..

What if she'd been offering you the ride instead of a measly pint??
Though I suppose you could have gone back in for another haircut when you found out...

If Boards moderators really do live up to the stereotype, he'd be going back so often he'd be getting his eyebrows trimmed.

I was insinuating that you'd be so desperate for it you'd keep going back til all the hair on your head had been cut ¬_¬
