heya just wondering i first year arts say you have 3 modules and have a semmesters 1 and semmester 2 exam and say fail both at 30% but your other module is continuous assessment and you got 90% in that so when 3 modules are put together you get over 40% and pass my question is when do they add up the overall module grades and will i have to repeat exams if there not added up in time before the repeats?

repeat most likely. some subjects are different than others and wont allow you to combine. What subject is it??

Can't you read?? you just answered the question yourself. doesnt matter if you got 0% in on exam and 30% in the other as long as you 90% in C.A your fine.

Assuming they're all worth the same amount.
Also - sometimes marks for continuous assessment are not counted unless the exam is passed.
And some disciplines require a minimum grade in each module before compensation with other modules is allowed.

What he said. Look at the "Marks and Standards" document on your faculty's website and you should find the answer out. Otherwise, ask the lecturer or the faculty/department admin.

hi well basicallly I am in college and I had to defer exams due to personal issues. I took some exams however two of which i failed due to these personal issues, I was wondering will be GPA be caped. I'm retaking the papers this year. both exams were electives i failed so i switched one of the electives to a different subject. I failed one paper twice so i decide to take classes in a different subject as i said and the other just ones. I'm really worried that i will be caped at pass as this is my final year in undergraduate course and i want to a postgrad course. I have merits from every other year and was hoping to get the same this year if at all possible. i notice some people fail and still get an award classification and can still get a merit so is it possible?
