Shower Turning Itself Off Every Two Minutes

Just moved into a new apartment and having a lot of trouble with the shower. It basically turns itself off every two minues.

Its not an electric shower. Its one that is connected to the taps in the bath, with a lever to change where the water flow comes from. I think its something to do with the cold tap. Every time I turn the cold tap on, it seems to stop. So basically, it will only run if the water is scalding!

I've noticed this happens with the cold tap in the bathroom sink too.

Not an expert in DIY at all, and my boyfriend puts everything on the long finger so any help would be greatly appreciated!

You could have a partial airlock in the lines. Check out this thread and see if it helps
