No audio from VLC player

Copied first movie to VLC on ipad, movie plays ok but there is no sound anyone else had this problem ? Any help would be great.

May sound stupid, but is the phone on mute. ( check the sound level or the little silver button on the left hand side of the phone ).

Edit...oh it is an iPhone..no idea...perhaps check the mute thingy anyway.
