    OK,
After reading this thread Insurance Scam or what?
I think it is time to invest in a dash-cam.

    As seen > Here

    And >> Here

    And >> Here

    OK
What I want to know is

    1)Who has one??

    2) Which model you bought and where

    3) Cost of unit?

    4) you verdict of it?

    5) if Possible could you post some sample clips
ie. One in daylight and one in dark

    6) Any other Praise/Faults you might think it has or should you have went with a different one.

I dont want any posts saying " I am thinking of buying one as well"
I only want posters who actually have/had one
    Thanks.

I bought this one last week,

    http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=280615815600

A fellaw in a BMW pushed me to buying it after pulling out in front of me and as usual because I tap the horn and he decides to slam on the brakes. I start to brake and realise I'll overtake as it's safe to do so, He deicdes to cut in front of me again by pulling into the opposite lane as well, this all happened in a few seconds and was pretty close.

It was cheap and it does the bare minimum , ie, record the road ahead and loop record, thats all I require it to do at the moment.

Cost €24.31 incl postage to Ireland from Ebay.

I'm hoping it will arrive 2moro, I'll report back on it after a test drive if anyone's interested.

Cormie has a great one. It has GPS built in which records your speed and location.

    No problem, I will ;)

This might be of some interest to You, Forgot to post first time around,

    http://www.chucklohr.com/808/

That site is about the 808 key chain DVR, but he recently posted about a similar flashlight DVR to the I purchased, the bit about the flashlight camera's just under a quarter of the way down that page.

Theres some good example's and also this youtube review video by techmoan which is very good. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=8o2P_mxRWiY he also reviews another type of in-car DVR also which You should find in his related vids.

    Hope that helps :)

I think he's referring to the Roadhawk, www.roadhawk.co.uk, it's expensive though!

Yeah, I fitted a Roadhawk RH1 to my car - driving another car without one fitted gives me that feeling of walking out of the house without the keys, or without my phone. It's a bit of security.

I then bought one for my GF's car - but haven't fitted it yet as I haven't been able to get hold of a wiring diagram ('05 Audi A4 B6 cabriolet). I want to hardwire it into the car above the rearview-mirror rather than have wires dangling all over the place.

I know the Roadhawk is expensive, but it's plug-and-play, fit-and-forget (+ other cliches :D ). It's a well-rounded product - eg. when you pop a memory card into it, it automatically copies viewing software onto the card - so when you need to view files, you have all you need on the card - no need to go searching for files, viewers and codecs off the internet

Like Gurramok and franksm I have the Roadhawk, here's my stealth install, powered by ignition from the auto-dim mirror:

    From the drivers seat:

    Outside:

Here's one of Gurramoks videos, same system:

Very easy to install and operate, GPS tracking is nice too.

    Couldn't agree with You more,

I love Voodoomelon's setup it looks almost factory fitted it's so tidy, I'd do it like that if I'd an auto-dimming mirror but I don't:(, I can live with the wires on show as long as they are somewhat tidy on the dash.

Might be an honest mistake fella but usually when someone digs up an old thread to advertise a business it's shilling of some sort
