Teaching in UK

I'm just wondering if anyone can help me out as I can't find this information anyway so I'll really appreciate it if someone could point me in the right direction. I'm midway through my PGDE in NUIM at the moment teaching Maths. I'm thinking about looking to England to teach next year as jobs are hard to come by here and I need to work! I'm just wondering if when I come home they would recognise my time teaching in the UK when it comes to where I am on the salary scale? Any help/advice would be great!
