I'm also interested what spot lights are.

Fog lights are lights to be used when it is foggy, not in the day time, not when its not foggy. Spot lights are for rally cars, tractors, trucks etc. But boy racers tend to think different.
Transits can be easily equipped with fog lights since all the wiring is already there, all you need is the lights and a new light switch.
