Tyre Prices Set to Rise

Just got an email from Delticom (Eiretyres etc) saying:
    Sharp rise in tyre prices!
Due to a rise in the cost of raw materials tyres prices are set to increase again this year. >From this spring onwards car drivers should expect an sharp increase for prices of summer and winter tyres.

    Our top tip for saveaholics!
Quickly secure your matching tyres at last year's prices - only while stocks last!

Not sure how much a "sharp rise" is

Just to note by the way, from my experience last year, when I bought my winter tyres in I think August/Sept 2010, they were a LOT cheaper than what they were being sold for in December on the same website so if you're planning on getting Winters, probably best to get them around the end of August!

Rubber prices on the commodity markets have increased by almost 50% in the last 6 months.

When oil prices go up, synthetic rubber demand goes down and natural rubber prices go up.

So at the moment, we have increasing natural & synthetic rubber prices.
