'Glee' turns up the romance on 'Silly Love Songs,' but hearts are also going to be broken in Season 2, Episode 12 of the hit Fox series.

The Valentine's Day episode explores budding love between many of its ensemble cast, beginning with Puck and Lauren. Puck can't get over his (almost) seven minutes in heaven with the newest member of New Directions, and marks his new infatuation with a cover of Queen's 'Fat Bottomed Girls.'

Finn is still riding high from his conference win, and every girl in the school wants to be his valentine. However, he puts his sights back on Quinn, ignoring the fact that Sam is mad for her.

Finn sets up a kissing booth to raise money for New Directions and the issue of "seeing fireworks" surfaces, as Rachel asks Finn if he ever felt the spark when they kissed. This opens things up for an all-too appropriate cover of Katy Perry's 'Firework.'

Meanwhile, Blaine is crushing hard on someone, and asks Kurt and the Warblers for advice on whether it would be cool to profess his love through song. Kurt is convinced he's the object of Blaine's affection, but (spoiler alert!) he soon finds out he's not when the Warblers head to the Gap to perform 'When I Get You Alone' for Blaine's love.

'Silly Love Songs,' borrows its title from the 1976 Wings song, which is also performed by Blaine and the Warblers in this episode.

    'Silly Love Songs' Song List:

    1. Artie and Mike, 'P.Y.T. (Pretty Young Thing)' (Michael Jackson)
    2. Blaine and the Warblers, 'When I Get You Alone' (Robin Thicke)
    3. Blaine and the Warblers, 'Silly Love Songs' (Wings)
    4. Rachel, 'Firework' (Katy Perry)
    5. Puck, 'Fat Bottomed Girls' (Queen)

I quite liked this one, nothing spectacular, but it was enjoyable.

It was interesting to see a slightly different side to Santana too.

I really enjoyed Rachel's version of firework, it was much better than I'd expected.

Thought this episode was a little bit much I have to say. Didn't enjoy The Gap scene or Tina's song....just too cheesy. I do love a good love triangle so I like where they're going with that.

My heart went out to Rachel when she was in with Finn and asked about the fireworks. She really looked so broken. Loved the Fireworks cover, probably the best song in this ep, IMO anyway.

I'm not sure about the Puck and Lauren thing. I found the Fat Bottomed Girls cover a little lacking in taste and I'm glad Lauren didn't like it but I like that they're showing her as strong woman (Girl Power! :p)

Shippers, i called it FIRST!...Samtana!, very very enjoyable and funny ep. - Glee was back on form with this ep.

Big smile on my face throughout, sooo many LOL moments, Tina breaking down!!!!...hehe!
Lauren is becoming quite a good character actually, she had Puck running around like puppy and totally PWN's Santana.

I liked all the music, The Warblers were great, especially in the Gap....for me a sign of a good ep. is if i wanna watch it again, something i didn't do with the Superbowl eppy.

Brittany looked really hot in her normal clothes!....good stuff all round.

I really liked the warblers song but the rest of it was kind of boring. :/

Yet another enjoyable episode, with Tina's breakdown (and that whole scene in totality) one of the funniest moments all year. All the numbers were enjoyable, particularly Puck's and Rachael's.

They're pairing off like ADD rabbits but honestly that much is quite like what I remember from secondary school. Unless the recession has dampened hormones in the last few years, I'd imagine that's still the case.

    Enjoyed Santana in this episode.

Fat Bottomed Girls - meh. nothing exciting. Almost everything sounds like a country song when Puck sings now.

P.Y.T. - ok. I'll bite. this was pretty good: Artie can sing and Mike can dance. Sync was quite off between vox and video, but now I'm just nitpicking.

Fight scene was pretty funny and quite well done. Loved Santana sliding into Coach Beiste and then getting carried off like a sack of potatoes.

When I Get You Alone - Music was very well done. Warblers are quick becoming who this show should probably be about lol. Well maybe that's an exaggeration, but Blane is very good.
The scene itself was more than slightly cringeworthy though.... it WAS too much btw. :)

My Funny Valentine - well, at least it started out ok. Good acting, that'd be pretty tough to do.

Firework - meh. Way overproduced. Miles better than the Katy Perry version. Maybe I'm barking up the wrong tree over this overproduction thing, but I thought this show was supposed to be about good singers in real life... if they're going to be autotuned and produced into oblivion then what's the point? Feels now like they're just trying to sell the singles of these cover songs to pre-teens.

Silly Love Songs - wasn't my taste at all.

This show and real life exsist in separate multiverses. And I like it all the more for that fact.

Ok, that's fair enough.. but that is a relatively new thing for this season. Season 1 was totally different and much less produced.
