Considering buying a new laptop. Only problem is i dont have much to spend and want a lot!

What i need is a 15 inch HD screen or larger
    at least 2+ghz processor
At least 320GB harddrive but more better as i use lots of space on large media files

I have about €400 max, thats the problem!:)

    Any input will be appreciated

Do you mind if you have intergrated graphics? I mean you'll be able to play games from around 2006-2008 (in low settings) but that's about it on the newest games. If gaming isn't something you're interested in, you could probably get away with 400 euro.

Not too fussed about gaming although i play a bit of football manager.

Any ideas of laptops for me?

Do you mean that game? If so, give me about ten minutes and I'll download the demo (I have basically the same as intergrated cards, the type you'd get for the price you want), I'll let you know how well it runs.

Alright, the good news is in argos they have one four 420 euro which is 20 over your limit. I doubt you'd get one for 400 with a decent dual processor. The bad side of the argos one is... it only has two GB of RAM. I had a poke on the PCworld site, not much help (you'd be best off asking instore). Can you buy online or has it to be in person?

and I'll post when I check out how it runs. It should run fine, though.

Oh, I assume you play the game already; can you post your specs of what you play it on? Just processor type, the speed, what amount of RAM you have, what graphics card you have and what operating system you have.

Well, I had a quick game going on a 2.1 dual core, ATI 4200 and 3GB of RAM and it went fine. Watched about... 40 minutes of the game (sped up I assume) and it was fine, no lagging or anything. I reckon you could get way with two GB, plus you can upgrade the RAM yourself.

I have been playing football manager 2010 on my current system
I dont use the 3d matches though. It works well enough but it could be a bit faster.

    IBM X60
    Screen 12.1 inch
    Processdor - Intel Centrino 1.6ghz
    Ram = 2gb
    Hard Drive - 320Gb
    Intel Graphics Media Accelerator 950
    8 Cell Battery
    XP Pro Operating system

I need a more powerful machine for

You left the last part of your post out. :P

    Well this here: http://www.argos.ie/static/Product/partNumber/5084708/c_1/1|category_root|Office%2C+PCs+and+phones|15701344/c_2/3|cat_15701344|Laptops+and+netbooks|14419039.htm
Would be a slightly better spec than what I have and I could run the game no problem (I'm not sure if I did the 3D match though... but I'm pretty sure I could handle it).

Anyway, the only bad thing is that the battery life is very bad on it, so portability isn't very much on this (unless you use a charger a lot). You get a bigger HD, the two GB of RAM might be a problem (but I'm not 100% sure). You get your dual core processor and it's nice size and doesn't seem too heavy.

I dunno about any kind of insurance with Argos. I looked on PCWorld but didn't find much (I assume they'll have a better selection in store).
