Been playing most nights in a local bar with alot of unbelievable players... Never seen the likes of it, my game has shot up cause of it.

Anyways, they taught me this game 61 and they were sayin it's the only game most Filipinos play for money.. Anyone ever heard of it?

It's kinda like 9 ball.. except it's a race to a score of 61 and has a fair few interestin rules.

This is a great game. You use the pool numbered balls and the white cue ball from snooker. All players put in small amount and draw to see who goes first. Rack the pool balls as normal and break. The first player to get to 61 points wins the cash, you must pot the number one ball at least once. Winner usually pays for light/bill. Oh yea, when you pot a ball it goes on black spot, then next pink etc. Crackin game

Sounds class alright, can imagine it's great for practice sessions as well.

That's completely different to the 61 I'm playing.... 2 players and the 15 balls have to be potted 1-15. First to 61 wins. Any balls that drop of the break go towards your score.
You can forfeit any shot and the next ball is put on the spot while the white can be put anywhere behind the line. This can be done over and over which makes the game great if the spot can't see the corner pocket.
If you foul, the other player can choose to play the balls as they sit or do the same as above..
And the table has special slots at the back where every ball potted is stored on either side so that players can keep track of their score.

Very tough game.. Much harder than 8,9 or 10 ball and they reckon that's why Filipinos do well at 9 ball on the world stage.

edit: Searched again and found it on Wikipedia.. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Rotation_(pool)
