It's a problem which only exists on gumtree.ie - and Gumtree keep pretending there's no problem, just a glut of stupid Irish users. The issue is that to create the account, you need to be able to access the secure https secure.gumtree.ie server, the normal http non-secure one is there, but the https one hasn't been enabled. Gumtree won't switch it on either.

Their answer is to register on gumtree.com, but that won't fix it either, if you do that and try to edit your ads, it defaults back to the secure.gumtree.ie https server, which then can't be found again.

I am trying to bump up an ad for the last two days now, no joy at all. I am not able to log in, though I use the correct details.

Last week, everything worked perfectly, I got a mail, asking if I wanted to bump up the end, I just opened a new window and it was fine.

    But now? Nothing

    Hi,

I've also been having problems with gumtree - 2 weeks ago I entered an ad for my apt to rent. Now I want to delete same ad, but everytime I try to log in, it won't let me.

If you can´t bump up any ads anymore, can´t even open an account at gumtree.ie then go to gumtree.com (UK side). In the right corner is under "Your Account" "Manage your ads". Go there and fill in your ad reference number. Suddenly it does work and you can bump up your ad or register/open an account. Gumtree will send you an email. Much luck!

I'm glad I found this thread...that's not just my...3 computers and different browsers that I tried to see if one would work. Same for me, all I can do is create an ad, can't edit or bump them, never mind creating an account (doing it through .com would be pointless I confirm !)
I sent them an email but got no response...

go on to gumtree.com create the account there and it will pick up your ads under your email address.

The .ie mails to bump your ad will work then ;-)

Same for me, been like this for over a month now. Can't relist/bump ads and when trying to create an account get: "can't establish a connection to the server at secure.gumtree.ie."
