Was not sure whether to post this at all but it seems it may be a very serious issue indeed. There is a possability that there is an ongoing cover up, add to that the lack of info about it on the web or in any other publication. So, here is what i discovered.

In the last few days I became aware of a message that somone was attempting to make viral. The message has been dotted around on a few youtube videos and other sites that allow comments. The message reads: "New Ireland Party Candidate in Clare Gerry Walshe broke news last night at Ennis Hospital Forum of alledged child abuse coverup involving politicans, why wasnt there a Enquiry into this allegation ! He is running in order to highlight the plight of the abused children and how difficult it is to have their voices heard. ?".

After reading this I did my best to look up this Gerry Walsh fellow. Hes a candidate for the New Ireland party in the clare constituency but there is very little about him around apart from his limited webpage http://spirit-of-truth.org/. A few interesting things on there but nothing about the above issue.

After even more digging I traced the comment to the twitter page of Noel J.Healy who is the director of elections for the New Ireland party, http://twitter.com/NjHealy. The comment again reads "Election Candidate in Clare Gerry Walshe broke news last night at Ennis Hospital Forum of alledged child abuse coverup involving politicans,".

My assumption is that these people are not liars, yet these extrodinary claims need more of a basis rather than random comments on the internet. Since it is claimed that there is a coverup and that there are politicians involved, may this be the reason why there is no information circulating about this? Do we have an elite paedophile ring in our midst that has been found out?

    Questions:

What exactly did Gerry Walshe say at the Ennis Hospital Forum and is his information credible? He must surely think its true himself if he spoke publicly about it. If he is standing for election I doubt he would make such a comment lightly.

If this is true that he indeed did say these things, why has this not been reported on in any publication on or offline.

Has anyone heard anything about this at all, or is there anyone who was at the meeting who knows what was said?

Is this all completely fabricated or is it true?

Is this some sort of campaign to discredit Gerry Walsh given he has unearthed criminal activities(gun running) involving former or current government ministers?

I have no answers, only questions.

Quite a fanciful claim from himself. Although I don't think there is anything new here, tbh. Anyone who has turned on a tv in the last 5 years will know about the cover up between church and state regarding child sex abuse.

Edit: I just listened to that tape about him claiming to have 'uncovered' evidence of serving Irish Army Officers being involved in gun running to the Seychelles. It sounds like a load of rubbish, tbh. This is a thread for the Conspiracy Theory section.

What exactly is the conspiracy here? Either he did say this or he didnt, either it is true or it is not. He is standing for election and he accuses politicians of covering up child abuse. The matter is therefore entirely political.

If this is not true then the people of clare should be aware not to vote for a liar. If it is true, then the people of clare should be even more aware of ennis hospital.

These comments by Gerry Walshe were apparently made just a few days ago.
