More paperwork for Marriage

    After completing the Marriage Course and getting all the documents together for my priest,baptismal certs,birth certs,lettter of freedom,registration cert etc etc,this was all done back in January, my priest has called me and said that I need to collect another form from him and get it signed by a Solicitor:eek:!! He wasnt very helpfull when I asked him what it was about:(. I dont have it yet as I have to collect it from him.
    Can anyone shed any light on this,I thought we had all the boring stuff out of the way and to be honest I havent a Solicitor and dont have a clue how much this is going to cost!!! GRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRR

    It sounds like he wants you do complete an affadavit to say you aren't already married. This is usually done instead of the letters of freedom, i'd query with him why he needs both.

    Yes thanks for that,I'm in the UK and went home to Ireland to sort out all the paperwork it's just a pain if I have to go through more paperwork and at what cost!! I'll see tomorrow when I speak to the priest!
