    hi all,
I installed the VLC Streamer app but it doesn't seem to see my NAS (networked attached storage) drive.
Is there another app for this or is the ipad capable of doing this?
I usually use the WD media player to play files off the drive and it is able to do this.
    any advice would be great.

How about XBMC, just add this repo to cydia
    http://mirrors.xbmc.org/apt/ios/

After it refreshes go and add xbmc, then once loaded go to videos the add source, if you go to network sources, then smb sources and you should be able to see you drive, if not, simple add the location using smb://username:password@nasname/folder/

XBMC is an amazing media player that started life on the xbox, it also has a linux, windows and osx port. This is a full version for the iPad and it's sick.

Buzz player HD worked for me €1.59 well spent

It's a pain in the nads using air player as a pc had to be left on, this works fine.
