As per the title, what spring would give the desired 1J power in a tm aeg?

To be honest mate, there's no point, TM guns are some of the best out of the box, have you gamed with it yet?

Nope, Going this Sunday. It shoots 280fps according to the web, which apprently is .7 of a Joule?

Im a bit of a noob when it comes to Airsoft phsyics but should that not mean that over longer ranges the BB will be traveling a hellofalot slower?

You'd think....but Marui use this magical fairy dust in their hop up units......which for whatever reason, make them outrange most others straight from the box........and the bb travel's fast enough I assure you.

Tightbore barrel , change out the hop rubber.
If you're still not happy then i think you might need to lower your expectations on the range of a bit of plastic fired by a clockwork type mechanism.

I know ye all have given him sound advise but ye still haven't answered his question about which spring he should get. I'm very curious myself because i'd like to up grade my spring in my aeg. Cheers.

Any M90 or M95 spring really, except Element, they're not the best.

Nice one Lefty. Any brand in particular or any except Element?

Guarder or Vanaras are my choices.

just be advices you will need to replace the piston and piston head as well, you can take the stock spring out and use the original piston head if your careful, but it is easy just to replace the lot

Use a ms90 as a ms95 may push you over the limit in a TM gearbox (speaking from experience with my own).
