I believe it's electric. Also the speedomer has stopped working.

Car has had a drift since purchase. I believe it to be an escalation of primary problem.

could be power steering motor acting up due to a serious electrical gremlin

    lol!!

    What the problem?

If it does have electric steering (which I doubt), it was hardly a silly response.
It was you who suggested that it has electric steering.

To be honest, looking at your youtube video on the other thread... I think this is the least of your worries!

However, from my own experience, the issues with ABS, traction and handbrake and possibly the speedo could all be related.

    But I'm definitely no mechanic.

I had a failed ABS pump motor which illuminated my ABS and traction control lights. In my attempts to isolate the problem, I took out the ABS module (electrical gizmo) and as well as ABS and traction, I added the handbrake to the list of illuminated lights.

Most cars speedo's will stop working if even a single wheel/speed/abs sensor is faulty/broken/dirty, which would also give the ABS/Traction lights errors.

EDIT: I'd normally suggest an auto electrician to suss out those sort of errors (I did in my case), but there's probably some definite mechanical problems with the car as well by the sounds of things..

Cheapest way forward is usually to check speed/abs sensors first and work your way up to the abs control module and/or pump which are usually costly.

Sorry bro, I wasn't being sarcastic. I just thought the "gremlin" bit was quite colourful. Great film in its day! It made me laugh. I thought it was rather witty. Thank you for your response. I appreciate it. Perhaps I should have made what I meant clearer.
    Sorry sorry sorry!!!!!!

Cheers bro. Ya, I know sometimes the lights can come on for all sorts of reasons but it happened at exactly the same time as the steering deteriorated significantly worse than what was shown in the video. It was drifting left and right more dramatically at half the speed. Was a bit scary to be honest. Ah well, she's off the road now. We'll see what happens next. Shouldn't have got rid of my 99 Colt, still a very nice drive(bro has it) Didn't even get 1 solid week without Skoda problems. Sucks Ass. My next car will be a Mitzi Lancer for sure.
