Mortgage interest relief

    Hi

Looking for some advice about my mortgage interest relief.
I bought the house in 2003 and lost the interest relief on it in Jan 2010 as the 7 years were up.
In 2008 I changed my mortgage to an offset mortgage available from first active at the time. A new mortgage agreement was set up and had to use solicitor etc. to do so. House had to be valued by auctioneer.
Would this qualify as a new mortgage - hoping to the relief back as things are extremely tight at the moment

    Thanks
