Thinkpad won't start

    Hi

I have an IBM Thinkpad laptop that seems to have died on me, but it can't be that bad!
I presume it was left on too long and the battery ran down pretty much completely. I've plugged it on to mains but there's still no sign of life. I also took out the battery and tried to start it off the mains, but no joy there. I have a feeling this is simple enough if I just knew what to do next. Or do I have to get in touch with a repair man/woman/shop?

    all advice gratefully appreciated! :)
    Richie
