Have I still time to change my address?

Hello, I registered a few years ago to vote in one part of Dublin but am now living in a different constituency and vote like to vote from here instead.

I still have one of the Applications For Registration which came through the door, but it was some time ago now.

If I complete this and send it to the local address on the back, will everything be okay on the day with me voting from my new locality?

You would need to get the change of addressed forum filled in and hand delivered to your co council office tomorrow before 4pm.

Is it still the change of address rather than a new registration when I search in my old council where I voted a few years ago and it cannot find me?

You need form RFA3 downloadable from the checktheregister site or DCC site if it is a change of address
Read those sites for other forms ie, RFA2

RFA3: Fill it in, bring it to Garda station with ID and a utility bill (wouldn't be any harm) to get stamped, then you will have to deliver it by hand to the address on it (Ormonde Quay in town) before 4pm or 5pm tomorrow, I heard 5pm on the radio today.

EDIT if it's anew registration it's RFA2 form you need, visit the site posted above. Guards still needd to sign it and stamp it

Can you view my previous post and advise? Unsure whether it's change of or new as I am not coming up on the register for where I voted a few years ago.

First, i'd double-check the checktheregister site and at teh last box (townland/street) put in first few letters of street name and it'll give you all the areas that start with those letters.

If you're sure you aren't on the register at your old address fill in RFA2 form, garda station to get it stamped with ID and onto Ormonde Quay.

If you are listed after checking at old address then it's form RFA3 and same procedure as above.

Cutoff time is tomorrow at either 4pm or 5pm so you won't have time to post it.
Adress is Franchise Section, Ormond Building, 31 – 36 Ormond Quay, Dublin 7

Thanks, did check the address like that, dafa in name, fada out of name, townland instead of street etc.

Can I just take the application that came through the door there personally instead without getting it stamped by the guards?

It has the address you listed on the back...

I don't think so dusf, check the code on it if it's not RFA2 (the one you need) then no. The one you have would be the form you should have sent in by end of Nov last year.
And guards have to stamp the RFA2, though read the notes on the form note 6b may apply, you still have to go to Ormonde Quay with passport etc and state why you couldn't go to the guards - seeing as the Bridewell and O Connell St Garda are nearby it'd be hard to explain!

    HTH
