    Simple question.

I may want to use an iPhone for theadering maybe once or twice a week and very low level usage (just a few webpages).

Will the Irish networks be able to workout I am theadering or can they only work this out via the volume of MB's I'd be using.

The extra charge for theadering is a joke.

I take it you mean Thethering? What network are you on? I'm with 3 and thethering is free.

Yeah they can tell which you're using. I think it's down to what apn is used, when you activate tethering it accesses one server and when you activate data it uses another. I could be wrong though.. Other than that I dunno how they'd tell the difference, it's all 3G data.

    Thanks for the info guys.

One quick other question. If I were to buy an unlocked iPhone and used it on the Vodafone network per say, could I just buy the Ready to Go 5GB per month data add on and be able to tether the iPhone for no extra charge.

From what I can tell, there's no mention of an extra charge in the Ready to Go section and it only seems to be for bill pay customers.
