maybe if the queen comes the craters on the main road in the park will be fixed.the council has pulled up miles of good road(from phoneix pk castleknock exit)to put in a bus lane, also miles of good road through laurel lodge, for a bus lane, this is done at a time the country is broke.someone has their head on a different planet.

I'm fairly sure it's the OPW who manage these works, not the council

Open to be corrected of course

Isn't the queen of england coming in May to visit Mary, we can't have her getting a puncture or something.

no council has any control over the park, OPW control it.

Yeah, it's the OPW in the Park. Plus the reason there's probably a glut of works going on elsewhere is that if each individual council don't use their allocated roads budget for the year they lose it.

It not just the Park. The roads all over the city, especially the one's used by heavy vehicles like buses etc.. are the worst.

Those pink/red brick speed ramps are also starting to sink and decay and creating massive pothole and trench like gullies!

maybe Fingal County Council have a pre determined budget for that area from financial contributions from all the planning applications granted in the area and need to use it during this financial year.

it would be up to the OPW to get the park road fixed and it would have no bearing on Fingal at one end and Dublin City Council at the other end, although it would be good if the 3 relevant departments did co-ordinate with each other.
