I see you are doing the pullout questionnaire Brian Smith is the answer to number 1

Ards Rugby club , Belfast is number 3 I think

    2) Is Dean Richards and someone else, after they went Kickabout with the cup. Can't remember exactly who the second one was, but it was a Scot.

No problem - Newtownards is just a few golf swings away from Belfast in any case.

I'm stuck on the Walter Cristofoletto question and also on the France couldnt do it for 24 tounaments in 43 yrs and Ireland also could'nt do it for 24 tournaments question.
I'm going from memory so don't have question numbers:(

Answer to Q23: Brian Smith (not Conor O'Shea). Anyone have the answer to Q19: Which Irish school has contributed more Lions players than any other?

I think Blackrock is the school with the most Lions players - 10, with an extra one - Conal O'Doherty 1977 - he wasn't included in the list of 10, but maybe because he was on the British Lions tour and later it became the British and Irish Lions. Still, a Lions!

no sign of a Conal O'doherty on Lions listings. Was he with Ross O'carroll Kelly

Funny, ha ha! His name was listed where I found the other 10. The answer is still the same!

Your looking at the Wikipedia list of Blackrock Rugby club not the school. 9 Lions came from the school.

P.S I think whoever edited that Wiki page was having you on with Conal O'Doherty

Most Lions R.B.A.I. ( Inst for short) 11

    I G Davidson - 1903
    A N McClinton - 1910
    W Tyrrell - 1910
    H R McKibbin - 1938
    R Alexander - 1938
    S Walker - 1938 (captain)
    R H Thompson - 1955 (captain)
    D Hewitt - 1955 & 1962
    R A Lamont - 1966
    C S Patterson - 1980
    D G Irwin - 1983

Sir Donald Currie was another former pupil of the RBAI who had a strong link with British/Irish tours. In 1891, when the Lions sailed to South Africa for the first time, he gave them a magnificent silver Cup to present to the South African team that put up the best performance against the tourists. At length the visitors were invincible, but the Cup was nevertheless donated to Griqualand West and in turn passed to the South African Rugby Board who put it up as the prize for the winners of their domestic provincial competitions.... The Currie Cup.
