I just got an iPhone. I have no idea about iPods or anything techie! I never have owned an iPod and have no iTunes account. The phone is my sisters old phone so has her iTunes on it. Can I watch streamed TV on it? How do I put DVD’s on it? Its my sisters old phone so what does that mean for iTunes if its linked to hers?…

You could just restore it to factory settings through iTunes if you want to start fresh. Otherwise, just sync it with your iTunes and you should be ok.

There's a thread at the top of the page where members post apps they think deserve a mention, you should find plenty there. However, the apps I would consider essential are either JellySms or Eirtext. There are free and paid for version, either allow you to use your free webtext allowance from your provider. Jailbreakng is another day's work, for now enjoy your iPhone!
