MJW moving on up! Still a bit to go before Ronnie drops out of top16

Agree totally, MJW's recent resurgence as a player is down to him putting the hours in on the practice table, something he'll admit he didn't do for a few years hence his slide down the rankings.
In Ronnie's case I've been trying to add up the points on offer, his top 16 spot should be secure. He has the Welsh Open and World C'ships left this season, he hasn't qualified for the PTC in Dublin and he will almost certainly pull out of the China Open.
Stephen Hendry however will really need to start winning, at 13th position, there are plenty of good players ready to break into the top 16 and he may find himself out of the elite by seasons end.

Did Mark Williams buy a club in Wales in the last year or so? Thought I heard that being mentioned during the UK championships. Fair play to him anyway, he's an exciting player to watch as he never seems to give up.

Will the China Open be televised at all?

Plenty of time for him to practice then - not surprised he's playing so well ;)

Yes, he bought the club in Jan with a pal of his, don't know wheter it's open yet, heard there was a lot of work to be done before they reopened the club.

China Open will be screened live on Eurosport.

My sky dish went kaput with the windy weather so missed all the snooker

Was really happy to see MJW back with a win though!

Looking forward to this one, BBC wales are screening this too..at least you get Dale and Griffiths doing the matches & not Joe Johnson who always seems to get confused :pac:

Have to say it has been great seeing MJW back on form, He hits the ball so sweet when he is on song! Was watching him do little stun shots in and around the black against Selby and he looked dangerous!

Heh, is Dominic Dale commentating?! I think he's mad - did anybody spot him at the shootout playing up to the crowd? Good to see that he's back on the scene.

Was at an exhibition last year with O'Sullivan playing White, Dominic Dale was doing MC and he was wearing a velvet tux with a huge velvet top hat, he was the nearest ive seen to Willy Wonka!
He's a complete nut job, even during the exhibition he was singing to the audience, and its not a put on job he really is nuts!
Apart from that he's a nice guy and has to be said a hell of a player on his day.
Hes living in Vienna now, god help them over there.

Haha, that gave me a laugh! :D Any other stories about the spaceman from the circuit zack? Always found the lad hilarious whenever he was on the tv.

Was playing in the Liam O'Connor Pro-Am a few years back which Dale won. Class bloke great crack. Wore purple velvet shoes, velvet black trousers and bright red silk shirt. He checked into hotel with about 6 Louis Vouiton suitcases. Class

There are some photos of Dale in his Willy Wonka get up on the South West Snooker Academy Website from their opening night.
