I just started using twitter ,mainly for the election although I have added a few other comedians.There are 3 people following me although I can only see two.Any ideas? Is there an invisibility mode? is this why I can't see the 3rd person.

The closest you can get to an invisibility mode in Twitter is to protect your tweets, and that just stops people being able to see them unless you allow them to follow you. It doesn't prevent you showing up as a follower of someone else.

Maybe it's some sort of glitch?

There's no way of following someone and hiding that your're following them.
