So I thought some people here might be interested in this ad!
It seems to be still for sale. Its not any cheaper than ebay but
I got one for 35 plus postage on ebay so it worked out a little more
expensive than this but I find ebay abit of a hassle
so I thought if someone in dublin was looking for one this was
    a good bargain

    heres the link
    http://www.adverts.ie/411951

also I looked at the link for polaroid film that the ad talks about
    the impossible project

Has anyone used this film? looks good and cheap compared to ebay!
and if you have, how did you find it?

Well, if you've already got the camera then you're already committed I guess. If you were still contemplating getting the camera I would have said not to bother, and get a pack-film or instax instead but what odds.

The impossible project film is still an ongoing experiment. They'd probably claim an experiment in creativity and wonderful random unpredictability, I'd say an experiment in whether or not you can get a pile of suckers to fork out huge amounts of cash for an almost completely unusable product. So far the answer is a resounding yes.

That said, some people here have tried it and liked the results so it entirely depends on what you're looking for. If you're actually looking to take pictures of things I'd recommend binning your polaroid 600 and getting a pack-film or instax camera :)

Friend of mine bought a load of this film after he ran out of the original companies stuff. His success rate was pretty bad with about half being duds. After monts of me telling him to get the fuji instant camera he got one. He was caught up in the whole polaroid is cool gang. He loves the fuji and it is way better. I'd say throw your camera in the bin and get the fuji, you won't be long Mking up your loss.

Have a read through the comments section on this article for some opinions on the impossible project. Quite an interesting article as well.

    That's no SX-70.

Actually, there were a bunch of non-folding sx-70 cameras as well as the more well known folding ones, this is one of them. They were pretty crummy, in many ways probably presaged the vast array of mediocre 600 cameras that were to come later. I always thought it a bit odd that the finest integral film camera ever made was made in the films infancy. All downhill from there on in.

    That's disappointing.

The more I learn about Polaroid, the more they seem like they were destroying themselves more than any external force could and the arrival of consumer digital photography was just the coup de grace.

Yeah they certainly didn't do themselves any favours as they lurched from one crisis to the next. Even Land was quietly shuffled sideways after the polavision debacle. It's debatable whether or not anything they could have done could have enabled them to survive into the digital era though.
The current uptick in pola sales is entirely driven by a rather fickle demographic. I wouldn't be surprised if those fakey pola iphone apps have already sounded its death-knell.

    Hello,

Looking for somebody with SX 70 version of Polaroid. I have few photo papers for it but no camera...
