That Work Experience Thing That Was Announced a While Ago?

    The Government said it was launching some work experience thing a few months ago, it wasnt the FAS WPP thing, it was more focused on graduates, did anybody hear anything about it? I cant find any info anywhere.

    Is that anything to do with the placements announced in the budget?

    Not really - I don't think much has been put in place because the election is coming up. RTE news had this when it was announced:

    The Skills Development and Internship Programme will provide up to 5,000 places in the private sector with a contribution from that sector of an additional €38m or so to pay some of the costs of internships. The Work Placement Programme will provide up to 5,000 places in the public service. A New Community Work Placement Scheme will provide up to 5,000 additional places in the community and voluntary sector.

    Outside of that the only programme I've heard of for graduates is the WPP1.

    Alright thanks for that Pow Wow, it was bothering me for a long time that I couldnt find anything, at least I didnt miss out on anything.

    Im really starting to worry now, its been 7 months since I graduated and Ive only done 3 interviews, no experience is killing me, Im in pharma/biotech.
