How easy is it to move oil tank?

Hi folks, my oil tank is presently at the back of the garage and i wish to move it to the side of garage which would mean a good extra 25' length of piping.

IS it easy to disconnect the tank, connect new copper piping to original pipe running from boiler or is it a job for a plumber?

Secondly, the outlet pipe that runs from the tank to the boiler, is there a proper name for it or is it simply known as copper...the reason I ask is the current pipe has white insulation on it.

it's easy enough but i would advise you to get a plumber as a kerosene spill is bad news.

i suggest incorporating it with a service call to the boiler as it won't take long to do if new base is ready and tank is near empty ( as near as damn it)

make sure tank is fully supported.

Yea, wait till its empty first...... (sorry couldn't resist it)

The pipe is just called insulated oil line, thats why there's the plastic outside it.

If you are unsure about doing it, then call a plumber.
