there are loads of chemical suppliers in ireland. Fisher, Reagecon, VWR, Sigma Aldrich, Lennox, TE Labs to name but a few. Try any one of them they all have websits with contact numbers.

Wou may need to jump through a lot of hoops as to why:confused: you need it and what proof of use and how you are going to dispose of it.

The best way is Dissolve or mix the material with a combustible solvent and burn in a chemical incinerator equipped with an afterburner and scrubber. A company like Veolia, Rilta, Indovar will do this.

I beleve the local County Councle can advoise you but Cork Co Co is the best as they have loads of large pharma.

Ask your local chemist to order some in for you. Or if you know someone who works in the water treatment works, ask them for some. You could also try your local agri store.

Aluminium sulphate is used as a flocculant in water treatment, so if you wash it down the sink with plenty of water when disposing of it, the water treatment facilities will treat it along with the Aluminium sulphate they add themselves.

Diluting a dissolved samples is easy, just turn on tap, and pour down sink. Pour down plenty of water.

Solid samples have about the 1/10 th the solubility of table salt, so dissovling in boiling water is probably the easiest.

Make sure to use plenty of water, and if large volumes are used. Try not to dump it all in one go. Spread it over a few days. Minimise any risks.
