No. And apart from avoiding a monobrow, why would you. Isnt the Colin Farrell look the sex for the wimminz?

I naturally have a monobrow. So i pluck that. Nothing "metrosexual" about that. It looks horrible.

But about 2 years ago I plucked the underneath of my eyebrows as i was watching some cheesy show and alot of the guys were doing it (pick up artist .. i know how sad :( ) lets just say shortly afterwards how gay i realised it looked.

So for me, the rule is, pluck your monobrow if you got one. Nothing else. Cause you will be gay if you do so :pac:

No plucking is too painful i shave them instead.

Had two hairs that faced the opposite direction to all of the others...Never noticed them til my OH pointed it out, then they were all I could see every time i looked in the mirror. Eventually plucked them out and it was fairly painless...once you have plucked a nose hair you could probably laugh off a kick in the balls.

No shame in it. Don't want to look like some primeval ape. I don't know how anyone can walk around with one really. It's barely any effort, thirty seconds and lookin' good.

(I'm kidding.... fags! :D) (again kidding, I think the gays are great and fair play to them.)

    Do I pluck my eyebrow?
Answer, no I think they're alright the way they are, maybe when I'm older and they start growing mad.

I don't like the look of plucked eyebrows on guys! Well plucking a mono brow is alright but anything after that becomes unattractive to me!

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 612 ✭✭✭t0mm13b

Yes I did, a few times actually, as am in me 30's, well, the signs are there... straggly bits going in different directions... times are tough, cannot afford a beautician, so might as well pluck 'em, oh, I also pluck hairs out of the nasal cavity - does that count also?

I call them the "dead spider legs cemetery"... enough to make me cry when pluckin' em long dead spider legs (which are amazingly thick you could swear there's some breed of spider with legs that thick up me nostrils...) Optionally, if the pluck is painful, I get a decent scissors and just cut 'em to the scut...

    clean lookin nostrils, check
    trimmed eyebrows... check

Face it, who wants to see a face that looks the back of a monkey's arse... with hairs growin in all sorts of directions...

just pull the fúckers out, how dense can the growth be. anyone else ever get called 'bean' on the street by some potential farrah fawcett?! due to brows, solely.. just.. bein there. also i prefer girls who struggle for eyebrows instead of leaving themselves struggling for eyebrows, you know?!!

I plucked my male friend's eyebrows before. He liked em, but was too lazy to keep doing it. I also waxed his legs.

Pluck if you've got a bushy unibrow but leave the rest alone. Shane Lynch has his eyebrows waxed and shaped. It looks strange.

Never, not even once but I have trimmed around the old genitals on occasion.

Only in the case of a uni-brow should men pluck... makes you look less inbred.

I let the barber run the machine over them, does the job. I always make sure the nasal hair is trimmed back as this looks sick on some people.

    No. I'm not gay.

...and anyway, my eyebrows are perfectly formed without the need to pluck. So suck on it.
    Yeah, not gay.

Plucking eyebrows is a bit effiminate in my opinion. No problem shaving my legs though. Apparently there are benefits for cycling, but I just do it cos I look better in lyrca afer

Pluck to prevent unibrow that is all.

I really wish all men (and some women) would trim their nasal hair, its the most disgusting thing. :(

I hate the look of plucked eyebrows on men, but sometimes they need to be plucked like if they were about to have a uni brow, or had one of those really long eyebrow hairs!

I must say that it looks the part on Bert.

I was getting them wax every 3 Weaks or so due to growing a unibrow in no time
But have had the middle part laser there a few weaks back by my sister for free and also got my toe hairs done at the same time

Anyway I don't think there is anything gay about it when you need something done just do it and not call it gay

My missus is a bit OCD when it comes to the eyebrows. I end up getting pinned down whilst she attacks me with a tweezers. In fairness she does a good job. She takes enough so as I don't have the caveman look but not so much that I look like drag queen off the clock.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 669 ✭✭✭sedohre

I use an electric nose-hair trimmer which works great and for the eyebrows I use a bread trimmer and scissors to keep the wolf from the door.:)

Ye I pluck the unibrow and try and make sure they look tidy. Can be a pain in the harsh being hairy.
