Looking out at the current wild weather got me thinking...

If a car is parked on a private estate, and was struck by falling branches, who would one claim against? Would it be classed as an 'Act of God' in which case, the insurance might not pay?

Or would there be some kind of group insurance for the estate to cover such events?

    TIA:)

It would depend on the terms of your insurance policy. I dont see anything stopping you from claiming against your own insurance company though. Your premium would probably go up but thats it

You can't claim off of God.

You would have to show that some other 3rd party was liable.

No you claim off your own insurance company for accidental damage. This is only available if you have Fully Comprehensive insurance. Technically you are blaming yourself for the act of god.
