I'm not sure chief, but I think it's the same basic aeg as the Sig 556 (with a different stock and possibly a tight-bore as standard).
I have the KA 556 - it's a great aeg, but like most that land over here can really benefit from a softer hop-up rubber and a tightbore. Very solid construction and reliable. Just beware magazines!! King arms always have the same problem - a mag well that is slightly tight for most m4 mags (especially metal mids or high caps - the seam on the mag always snags in the mag well). Most mags (once you get them in and engage the mag catch) feed perfectly though - it's simply a case of the magwell being a shade smaller than normal. King arms mags all fit perfectly - but pmags can be a problem. The best fit are the mag brand plastic mid caps - those are what I use with the 556.

I found something about the hop unit being a bit of a problem in the DMR version but it has a version 3 gearbox and the same gut said the bolt catch broke after a few days and that it took him a lot of work just to get it to a standard average accuracy but I'm in denial LOL I'm trying to find a more positive review to counterbalance.

They could well be slightly different internally so. I know that the bolt catch never functioned in mine due to the blow back mechanism (which was quickly disabled...). They're a fantastic looking rifle.
All I would say is that anything that goes sour with it can probably be remedied pretty easily. I know that when I got mine I was moving from the stock china clone guns to decent second hand guns picked up here on boards, so at the time I thought it was perfect. It's since got a tightbore and a new hop rubber, which brought it up to the standard of any of the other decent aegs I have.

+1 on MerryDespot points....i have the KA sig 556 holo myself and im in the middle of converting it into a dmr atm.

I too find non ka m4 mags tight in the magwell but once clicked in, feed pretty fine to me. Also the blowback was disabled on it after a week.....im not big into blowback myself.

Like Merry said any issues if any on the aeg would be an easy enough repair for any retailer to do.....From what i gather the gearbox is pretty solid in....

The only thing i hated on it was the sliding stock but again for yourself going for a dmr that wouldnt be a problem...

Like most aegs weither it is a cheap china clone or an expensive brand, they can all benefit from a good shim job, tighbore and hop up.....

Thanks dude - I forgot about the fecking stock! It's utter rubbish. It's loose as hell. Easily fixed with some gaffer tape inside the stock pipe to tighten it up - but annoying to have to do this for a king arms aeg.
At least as a dmr, as Darth Phoenix points out, you won't need to worry about this.
