What Helpdesk/CRM software do you use?

The reason I ask is that about fourteen years ago I developed a product. It was only a sideline for me at the time, but I eventually had clients from Mexico to Kenya who bought licences and actively used it.

Around 2005 I began developing a web based version of the software, but I abandoned it due to other professional commitments as the client I had in San Francisco with whom I was developing it with went bust in the post dot-com years.

I recently ran into a few old colleagues who were aware of my previous work and were looking to advise me on current CRM/Helpdesk software.

I thought I might just dip my toe in the water again and see what people are using out in the wide world these days?

    Hi,
EMC use SalesForce.com for their CRM/Sales lead management.

What sort of functionality were you thinking about? What was your original product developed in?

How did you get your original clients? Are they still in business? What are they using now?

No matter what you might develop you'll still need a route to market.

The CRM issue is a "pet subject" of mine, feel free to PM me if you'd like to get some (FREE!) confidential, impartial comments.

    Best of luck.
