    Hi, new to boards.ie

Starting hibernia teaching dip this week. Missed inducation on Sat, as just recieved application Friday afternoon, was told by admin that no need to go as everything would be emailed to me.

Just wondering did I miss anything?
Do any of the on-site classes will take place in Galway? Checked calender and Navan, Sligo & Limerick noted.
Any info on where Gaeltacht course is?

    Many thanks!

    Hi Morrissey,

Don't worry, you didn't miss a whole lot on Saturday. All of the presentation slides are up on Helms (I'm assuming you've been given your Helms log in by now) - I think they're mostly under Documents - Academic Affairs. It was all very introductory anyway.

There are two Galway Groups A and B. There is a word doc with details of the centres up on Helms. Both Galway groups will be based in the Galway Education Centre which is based in Cluain Mhuire in Wellpark. I don't think the first onsite for Galway is until 19th February.

You should have received an email from Hibernia today which really summarises the main points of Saturday. We're supposed to get the curriculum documents which are apparently €100 approx, not the €70 they told us on Saturday. No confirmation of the Gaeltacht dates yet. First lesson is up online already and technical support trials will begin shortly apparently.

    That's basically it!!

    Hi,
I don't know if its any use to you but curriculum documents are available free online at http://www.curriculumonline.ie
I find it much handier looking at them online when I'm doing planning. Good luck with the course!
