I applied for a course at DCU for next year. I applied at CAO sent my transcripts, passport copies and birth certificate copies to both DCU and CAO and filled out the DCU mature student application forms. Will I also have to sit an interview as well? Its seems pretty standard for most 3rd Level schools to have a Mature applicant interviews.

Just be aware that DCU may also decide to offer you a place without calling you for interview or notifying you prior to the CAO offers. This usually happens if they feel your application is strong academically (recently).
Just make sure that you order your CAO preferences as you want them, not as you think you're most likely to get.

If you haven't heard anything by mid May, give the registry a call and they might tell you if you have an offer. If they don't, ask to speak with the course chairperson and you should get a yay or nay from them.

    Good luck!

When I applied to DCU as a mature student a couple of years ago I still hast hear anything back about my application at the end of May so gave them a ring. Was told by lovely girl that if I hadn't heard anything I obviously hadn't got in. Two days later letter arrived asking me to attend for interview in June. So don't be suprised if you don't hear anything for awhile yet.

I didn't send these passport or birth certificates copies, I seen no mention of them anywhere in CAO or DCU applications forms.

I was born outside of Ireland and the EU. So I have to apply as an International Student. I have dual citizenship though.
