Weekend away in Kilkenny

Can anyone recommend a reasonable hotel in Kilkenny city, Heading up there on the 18th and 19th Feb. Somewhere near some near the pub night life. Might recommend some good pubs and nightclubs for a couple in their early 30's. Just looking for nice bit of nightlife, never been to Kilkenny, fancied a change of scence.
